Payroll tips
Is this payroll and payslip generator free?
Yes. Add as many employees as you need and print payslips and payroll sheets for free, without signing up. Your company and employee details stay on your own device and are never uploaded.
How are SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG computed?
They are estimates of the employee share based on the monthly salary: SSS 5% of the monthly salary credit (₱5,000 to ₱35,000), PhilHealth 2.5% of salary (₱10,000 floor, ₱100,000 ceiling), and Pag-IBIG 2% of up to ₱10,000. For twice-a-month payroll, half is deducted each period. Type your own amount to override any of them.
How is withholding tax computed?
Taxable pay is basic pay plus overtime, night differential, holiday pay and taxable allowances, less absences, late and the employee’s SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG. The BIR withholding tax table for the pay frequency is then applied. Non-taxable allowances are not taxed.
How do monthly, daily and hourly rates work?
Monthly salary: half is paid each period when paying twice a month, and absences and late are deducted using the daily rate (salary × 12 ÷ work days per year). Daily rate: pay is the rate × days worked. Hourly rate: pay is the rate × hours worked. Overtime uses the hourly rate.
What does “Start next pay period” do?
It moves the dates to the next period and clears days worked, absences, overtime and other per-period amounts. Employees, rates, allowances and loans stay so you only update what changed.
